The Purple Knight Alumni Mentor Program (PKAMP) is designed to connect St. Augustine High School alumni with current students for mentorship.

Program Purpose and Goals
-
PKAMP celebrates the achievements of Saint Augustine High School graduates and aims to enhance student success in their chosen careers.
-
The program fosters camaraderie among alumni and provides one-on-one mentorship to high school seniors, addressing social injustices and promoting the potential of African American men.
Mentor Responsibilities and Commitment
-
Mentors are alumni who share their career experiences with graduating students, inspiring them to pursue similar paths.
-
The expected commitment involves connecting with mentees for a few minutes every other month over approximately five years, aligning with the academic calendar.
-
Mentors can utilize technology for communication, such as Zoom or WhatsApp, especially if they are not local.
Application and Participation
-
Interested mentors must submit a completed application and a signed 'Who-Dat' Statement to ensure they meet program standards.
-
Mentors can support multiple students if they have the capacity.
-
If a mentor can no longer participate, they should inform their mentee and may transition them to another alumni mentor.
Contact Information
-
For questions, mentors should reach out to their class representative or the school’s Director of Student Affairs & External Engagement.
